On Saturday 20 December 859 & 2311 Squadron undertook a sponsored three legged walk around Lochore Meadows Country Park to raise money for the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance which is based at Perth Airfield.
In December we heard some excellent news. One of our ex cadets, former Cadet Flight Sergeant Matt Reid, has just graduated from the 30 week commissioning course at Britannia Royal Naval College and is now a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy holding the rank of Midshipman. He hopes to start pilot training in the Fleet Air Arm in the very near future. Well done from all at 859 and best of luck with the next stage of your training.
On Friday 11 December the squadron held its annual presentation evening at Dalgety Parish Church. Awards and certificates were presented by Wing Commander D C McCrae, Officer Commanding South East Scotland Wing.
Well done to you all, it's been a great year. Next year will be even better.
